Matcha ("we", "us", "the app") is a personal AI agent that performs tasks on your behalf, such as scheduling calendar events and contacting businesses by phone or email. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
When you connect your Google Calendar, we access calendar data (events, availability) solely to perform tasks you ask us to do, such as scheduling, rescheduling, or checking availability. We also store account/profile information you provide directly (such as your name and contact preferences) and records of tasks the assistant performs on your behalf, so you can review outcomes and so we can diagnose failures.
When you connect Gmail, we access the content of an email you ask us to send to a business on your behalf, and the reply to that specific message if the business responds. We do not read your general inbox.
Your data is used only to operate the features you use. We do not sell your data, and we do not use Google user data for advertising. Sensitive data (such as profile details and call transcripts, where applicable) is stored encrypted at rest.
Gmail access is used only to send an email you asked us to send on your behalf, and to check for a reply within that one email thread. We never scan or read your inbox more broadly.
Matcha's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the Google Calendar and Gmail scopes needed to perform the actions you explicitly ask for: Calendar scopes to schedule, reschedule, or check availability, and the Gmail send (gmail.send) and read (gmail.readonly) scopes to send an email you asked us to send and check for a reply in that one thread. We do not use this data to serve ads or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the service you requested (e.g., a calendar or email provider itself).
You can disconnect your Google Calendar or Gmail at any time from within the app, which revokes our access. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
We use infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and communications providers) strictly to operate the service, under contractual confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal data.
